Pre active phase

This is initial stage takes place before actual teaching starts in class room. Before entering in to the classes room teacher prepares himself about how to deliver the contents effectively.

Example: preparing a lesson plan, curriculum etc.

Intermediate phase

This is the phase when the teacher entered the classroom with detailed study plan of teaching, in this level teacher  interact with students for delivering the lessons  and identify, analyses their learning capacities.

Post active phase

Post active teaching phase is deals with assessment and examination of students about how much they understood about a particular topic after completion of teaching in classroom.

Characteristics of good memory

1)Longer retention

This is the ability of students to remember the information over time. Good memory helps the students to retain the information in mind for longer period of time. Frequent recall helps them to keep the facts in mind permanently.

The teacher trainee under micro teaching have an opportunity to learn the teaching skills and getting the feedback from their peers. This technique is mainly used for training and development purpose of prospective teachers, it helps to enhance their skills before entering into real classroom.

The number of students in micro teaching can be vary it depends on different sessions. Normally it includes five to ten students which the teacher has to teach a single topic in short duration.

Important features of micro teaching
1)The duration of micro teaching is very short, here the teacher trainee has to teach the short lessons within five to twenty minutes.
2)The micro teaching involves mini lesson plan.
3)The number of audience or students are very small number (5 to 10 students).
4)It puts the teacher under microscope.
5)It has limited scope due to it's limited time and small number of audience.
6)The teacher trainee can get immediate feedback from peers and he can makes the plan for re teach if not getting satisfactory feedback.
7)It provides refreshment to teachers in teaching process.

PLAN
The teacher has to make a detailed plan of lessons before actual teaching starts. Pre planning helps him to teach effectively. Here the teacher plans the micro lessons of short duration before delivery of lessons.
TEACH
In the micro teaching the teacher acts as a trainee he has to teach for students in a controlled environment since it is observed by his peers. The minimum duration of teaching is six minutes.
FEEDBACK
After successful teaching the teacher trainee get some feedback from the observers, based on those feedback he takes further steps to improve his skills. Standard time duration for feedback in 6 minutes
RE-PLAN
If the teacher trainee not get satisfactory feedback from his observers then he has to re plan the lesson again to re teach. The total time assign to re planning the lesson is 12 minutes.
RE-TEACH
Based on re-plan the teacher trainee has to re teach the lesson again by using his selected skills. The time given for re teach is 6 minutes.
RE-FEEDBACK
By observing the performance of the teacher trainee observers, provides honest feedback in 6 minutes.
Teach-6 minutes
Feedback-6 minutes
Re-plan-12 minutes
Re-teach-6 minutes
Re-feedback-6 minutes

Overall, The micro teaching is effective teaching tool helps the teachers to improve their teaching abilities and professional development thereby contributes in effective teaching practices and students learning outcomes.
